Yer seen a few mk2`s that have dun it but the mk1 bumper is a lot diffrant http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FIAT-PUNTO-1994-99-NEW-FRONT-BUMPER-GENUINE-FIAT-/300496920735?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item45f703209f
But i am wondering if a mk2 bumper will fit tho

i dnt think that mk2 bumpers fit mk1 mate i remember this been talked about on the forum before i think they dnt fit cos of the headlights and slam panel been different, u could try meshing it and see wot it looks like u can always take it off

can u not try getting the mesh 1st and sliding it behind the grille? would u see it at all behind there? im unfamiliar with mk1s really. if u can, look at it with the grille still there and if u like it, u can then make a decision to whether u wanna cut out the grille and just leave the mesh.

can always resell it if u dont like it, just keep the packaging and dont damage it. just get a mate to hold it up behind and take a look while they holding it in place. besides, whats gunna be cheaper? a bit of mesh, or the mesh AND a new bumper if u dont like it. ;)

i thought about hardware stores, dnt bother mate i when looking round for mesh and in hardware store its all thin crap i payed £18 for mine it were salvage mesh and its good stuff proper think had a job cutting it lol
u get what u pay for in most cases. he wants to do it on the cheap so just throwing in random ideas.
