General Mk 1 (pre 1986) Panda for sale

Might be of interest to peeps on here, but there is a Mk 1 Panda for sale on the www.fiatmotorclubgb.com Message board/forum. It doesn't say but I think it is a 1985 car as it has been discussed on there before. It's in Manchester.

I know that car, to be very polite its a little wooden building that lives at the bottom of your garden beginning with an S and ending in D!

but being a Mk1 Panda I think it deserves to be lovingly restored. Or is it beyond that?

It would deserve it if you had all the panels to hand and could do it yourself but its pretty tatty.

It does sound very rough. For those of you that haven't clicked the link;

This is a 1985 model but has a MK2 design if I'm not mistaken. It looks absolutely stunning for the age. Clickedy click.

I spotted that earlier. I wouldn't be interested in a Panda that early unless it was a proper Mk1 with the metal grille.

That's a fair point and I share the feeling, but it's still a great example in its own right especially considering the age. 20 years of service history... lovely stuff.

That is very nice indeed. Although I think it's more likely to be a 1986 car as I don't think they went on sale till May that year. I may be wrong though. C - 1st Aug 85 to 31st Jul 86.

769cc had a green airbox, the 1000cc had black airbox.

I think, now don't quote me on this, that Jims Selecta has a blue airbox as well.
