Is there a recommended way to buy brake parts, eg: use both pads and discs made by the same manufacturer.

Im keen on some Tar.Ox brake discs (Monza- part grooved and drilled), but might try some different pads, is this wise? Or am I just trying to find myself and early grave? :)

i want some brembo`s.:D but probs end up gettin black diamonds. i shouldnt c y u cant mix the brands. like black diamond disc with green stuff pads.

I got Tarox SJ discs and tarox pads for £100 and just recently changed the pads for predaotr ones, although my brakes were quite bad on the standard one, the difference is incredible, well worth the cash me thinks.

Sometimes the wear rate can be higher if you mix makes. I know most manufacturers recommend their own pads (partly for profit, partly because they're the only ones they test with).

Mixing discs and pads is normally ok, just don't expect the pads or discs to last as long as they claim.
