Bad misfiring
Here's how it goes... My young son has gone off on a years foreign work and left me with a no MOT untaxed, Bravo lying in the drive! I want to donate it to a pal in need of wheels... but need to sort it out.
After being laid up feb/mar it started perfect first time, and always does. But under even gentle acceleration misfires badly. And engine warning light on.
My lad says that last year when he had low power a mechanic diagnosed cat issues and as a temp fix just took out the cat. And all was ok... until after it'd been lying unused a couple months.
The mileage (seems) low enough, but I don't want to pass on a liability or waste money on exhaust repairs that may not resolve things...
Any well informed reply would be much appreciated. ???
