Merry Christmas everyone hope y’all had great christmas.

Unfortunately my 09 tjet 150 developed this weird metallic rattle when i lift of in first gear.

Any idea what this could be before i start pouring money again?

same rattle occurs in second or third gear as well but not as loud.

there is no rattle when i rev the engine while stationary.

I have another issue.
On gentle acceleration in 2nd gear between 1800 to 2400 the car shakes massively.

Recently it started shaking in 3rd gear between 1500 to 1700 rpm as well.
Also i don’t feel the shaking on the steering wheel but rather in the pedals and the chassis of the car.

I had the driveshaft replaced recently. There is no shaking apart from those gear and rpms
no shaking while stationary too
Many Thanks in

Hi, was it doing this before you had the drive shaft replaced? I'm guessing not? Sounds related to the work you had done. Take it back to the garage if it's the case of the problem arising after the drives haft replacement.
I would try to keep the speed and miles down as much as poss and I would not go on a motorway at all. Sounds like something in the drive train is coming loose.

Hey, nope i had the shake in second gear even before the driveshaft replacement but the rattle started 3-4 months after that.

nevertheless next weekend i ll jack the car and check all that if i’m lucky it might be a visually noticeable problem

thanks for the reply

Yes it might be obvious when you have a look underneath.
The shake in second gear before the drives haft was changed sounds ominous, could be a gear box internal problem.
Whilst under the car ( supported by axle stands of course) twist the drive shafts by hand, if there is a clonk noise or they are slack it needs further investigation. I would personally take it to a transmission specialist to get their advice as it could be a number of things,as you probably know The drive train consists of many moving parts both internally and externally.
Hopefully the problem will present itself when you yourself have a look
