I've got a metalic black 1.6 active stilo, after some bother, my cars now almost fixed and its starting to feel like its now mine.

I'm on a tight budget so dont want to go mental on things for it, also, i think sometimes too much styling and accessories can make anything look tacky, so theres a little bit of less is more going on in my head.

I'm looking for suggestions/recommendations for a few bits i would like to do.......

Air fillter (I hear the stock one is poor)
17in alloy's + Low Profile tires (I've got 195/65/15 tires on 16 alloys at the moment and they are waaaaaayyy chunky :) )
Car mats with Fiat logo on with a fiat-blue trim or all over fiat-blue (The ones out my old car are bad/dont fit/came from Morrisons :) )
Stilo roof spoiler
Stiffer front shocks (stop a bit of the roll on corners?)
Fiat-blue springs all round

Should the money be available.....
2 fiat-blue or fiat-blue trim adjustable bucket seats (My cars a 3 door and i still need passangers to get in and out both sides of it so the seats need to be adjustable like normal ones, my experaince of bucket seats is that some are not)
Body kit

The plans sound good, don't forget to post lots of pictures of the progress. Sometimes less is more, and if you are on a budget go for what is beneficial sometimes, i.e. suspension upgrade, etc. Debadging is good for starters as it costs next to nothing just the cleaning products.

Cool, loving those wheels PNL, i cant decided between a set like yours or a set of 5 spokes, like the ones in the background on that second photo, to the right.

The spolier as well :)

Im going for wheels first, i think they will make the biggest impact on how the car looks. From there, i like the idea of adding a few light blue bits here and there, just to highlight things but not going over the to garish.

I'll take a photo of before and after and keep it up t date.

Hi merrick well the wheels although nice were not the right PCD for the car which should have been 4x98 and not 4x100 using wobbly bolts also allthose spokes were are bugger to keep clean :bang:..and I would not recomend the use of wobblers to anyone..the spoiler on the rear is the one from www.lester.it and if you are lucky Ozzmosis hasnt sold his yet..[its going very cheap as well] beware of body kits cos they are a pain in the butt when you encounter speed bumps and the like..:cry:even getting onto my drive was a pain in the arse :bang: go for the minimalist look on the car you know it makes sense..(y)

Also have you noticed these in the classifieds..

Personaly i dont like them lights at all, there are some ive seen that are similar to standard but are tinted, it looked ok on a black stilo but tbh standard are nice :)

I agree, they look okay on black Stilos. I've also seen them on yellow one's and they can look decent on them too I guess.

Personally, I'd just keep the standard ones as they look great anyway. Saying that, I'm tempted to tint them a bit

Ok so i have kind of sorted what bits im getting.

Air fillter - still dont have a clue about this as i know nothing about them.
Alloys - ACE 205HB - http://www.wheel-base.co.uk/proddetail_fit.asp?prod=17Ace205HB with 215/45/17 tires
Car mats - Still havent found a set of mats with fiat logo on
Mud guards - Going to get a set of front and rear with fiat logo on from fiat dealer
Spoiler -http://www.lester.it/en/dettaglio.php?a=906
Bodykit - just going with skirts for now, will get the abarth ones from fiat as i cant find any on ebay and many of the other packages i have seen, you really need the whole kit, rather than just the skirts, for it to look right.
Going to paint the calibers blue

Seats and a full bodykit are now on the back bench.

Thoughts?

Personally I'm not keen on the alloys they look a little too chavvy to me. I prefer deep dish alloys or the standard fiat blades, those will look a lot nicer.

Air filter or induction Kit - K&N for air filter - GSR for induction kit..

Ebay normally have fiat logo car mats

I like the spoiler nice and subtle..

what about lowering it?

Sounds pretty good to me though :)

Both of these you can get from your dealer (and possibly eBay if you're lucky).

Highly recommended but I'd avoid any cheap tat from other sources if I was you (n)

Yeah i was looking at the cheap mats and mud flaps and they are horrible, tacky stuff. Dealer it is.

The picture of the alloys doesnt do them justic i think they have nice lines/angles that go with the stilos hard lines plus the 4x98, hard enough to find the right alloys that fit, and they are in my price range.

Blades are ok but im not perpaired to pay over the top prices for them at a dealer and im never spending the amount of cash i need to on ebay. Ive done it before and been stung more than once.

I dont like the bottom link, dont look right to me at all.

You can get "Borbet ls" which u can get in 4 stud which look similar to the oz superturismos in the top pic :p oly thing is there hard to find in 4 stud...but you can get them.

Imo stay standard (y)

Oh ... and if you want the look of the Stilo Schumacher, then try the local Fiat dealer for a set of the Schoomey Alloys. The are 18" OZ Superturismos

If i was to go for 18" alloys, what size of tyres would i be looking at, im wary of getting tyres to big and them rubbing inside the arches.... bad experiance with a set of 17"s at speed, on a corner, on my old 93 corsa :)

215/40? can you get smaller than the 40? would i want too.. ? im noob i know :)

Mats are in, they look good :)

Question on breaks. Sometimes, not often, the pedal feels very hard when i press it, seems to come to a stop before its fully depressed to the floor, then after a few second, contiues down, but much easier than normal. Could this be air in the pipes or something?

Its an odd feeling when you think your foots right down and then it suddenly drops a couple more inches. :)
