Hi all

Had a very odd moment earlier when I bumped into my old car! :D My GP is the 6th car I have had and this has never happened before (except passing my first one once on the road). But this time it was in a car park and I was able to have a good old nose round it. I know it's kind of sad, but I still feel kinda protective over it and even found myself taking pictures and then getting annoyed as the wheels were scraped to f*** It was just odd as you kind of expect to wave the car off and never see it again.

Anyone else had this? What did you do? How did you feel?

Only really sold one of my daily runners that I've got memories with, which I would be happy yet sad to see on the road again :p

Although the buyer said that it was going to be turned into an amphybious (sp?) car, lol. So could see it out at sea :ROFLMAO:

Lol your old car wasn't a Toyota Hilux, Triumph Herald, or Volkswagen Camper Van by any chance was it? :p

I've seen both of mine.

Girl who had my old metro off me, lived about 5 minutes away next to where I used to play football so saw it all the time. Strange thing was the road backed onto the old Longbridge Rover plant! :p

I've seen my old panda in photos does that count? Plus a FF'er has it, for now (y)

Once saw an old car of mine in a car park two or three months after selling it.

I still had a key and was very tempted to move it and then watch.

No I didn't, a nurse had bought it and you just can't do that to a nurse can you.

First car I ever bougt brand new was a `95 Rover 214Sei The MKII runout model, 1.4 K-series MPI 104 hp, half-leather in nightfire red with a `leccy sunroof £9995.........perhaps to this date my favourite car .About 18 months after trading it in for a Corsa C sxi I clocked it on a Morrisons carpark 15 mins from me and so I decided to do the crossword and wait for the owner to trap. After a brief chat it seems she paid twice what I px`ed it for and within 3 months of her buying it the H/G went, the PAS pump went and the fuel tank developed a leak.....All of which reinforced my belief that there is a motoring God AND he is looking after me (y)
.

Ahhhhh the good old K-Series engine... I had a rover for a time too - 414i. The gasket went on that too, so a local garage botched the job with some filler and I part exchanged it :D I liked my Rover is some ways - the bodywork was perfect, the interior was perfect, the image no so perfect lol.

my stilo is in bolton and an ex work colleague sees it often and even sent a photo of it to me the other day.

it is no longer clean looking and has pink fluffy dice hanging off the mirror.

my dad drives past my first ever car that is in newton le willows. its still running and taxed which is amaxing coz when i had it it was on its last legs

However I still see my mums old punto sporting floating around our local area. He has lowered it and everything, looks immaculate (y)

Seeing as I'm only on my 1st car, not got any old acquaintances to meet lol

I do hope one day to be able to do so (in fact, if my sister gets her way, I will frequently see, probably even drive this car lol)

My Dad has a habit of running cars until they give up completely.

You've still the spare key. I'd have waited and offered it to the owner, the cost of replacement keys on car's nower days  :( :p

I recall comming across the old people carrier (Ulysse) at the dealer when we came back one time. Nice to see it's still on the road.

I sold my 14-year-old BMW 316 to a Mexican postgrad, in 1995, who had come over to Cardiff for a 3 year research / course. I never saw it during those three years, but when he was about to return to Mexico he rang me and asked if I wanted to buy the car back ! Nice to know it had served him well.

traded the bike in in september and was heading over to that bike shop only to see it just being taken on a test ride and then sold in front of me:eek::cry::cool:

was godo adn bad to see it has a new home. hope they look after it. am sure i'll see it again somewhere.

My old escort tortures me almost daily, a woman on my estate had it, and for some reason the alloys had been changed for the more modern looking alloys on the back, then it was on mixmatched alloys and steels, nowit's being driven about by a young lad and it looks almost imaculate again.

Pains me to see the owners smoking in it :yuck:but I love it when the lad hoofs it up the road

I also get to see my old C15 van whenever I go where my dad works, it's sat outside being used as a storage shed LOL
