kearsley is only 10 mins form astley, and right on the a666, so easy access to the m60, plenty of taxis

but if your setting a date say in a couple of months time i should have a new car by then

theres a place in trafford park where people normally go for street races. i usually end up going to it every friday. theres been some fiesta zetec s meets there before. but its more of a japanese scene than a italian one :bang:

Thanks everybody for replying. I've spoken to the landlord tonight and he would welcome us on a Sunday afternoon, although preferably after 3. If this turns out to be a regular (once a month?) event he'll cordon off the overflow car park.

The pub in question is The Romper which is close to J6 of the M56 which is the Wilmslow/Hale Barns/Airport Cargo Area. For those who can't read a map or have a Sat Nav, directions will be posted closer to the time.

I have a plan to solve that particular problem. What may look like a line of parked FIATs, will actually be a slow moving line of broken down cars all being pushed off the Motorway by Mrs. Beard with her Stilo. Until that breaks down, in which case the mighty Panda MJ will be called into service. Ah, I hear you say, what happens when that breaks down? Very simply, I have access to a very large supply of orange and white traffic cones and a mate who works for the Highways Agency. I'll just close the M56.
