Hi all...

as I have written in a previous post I have bought a 2002 ducato motorhome...

The car is fitted with the 2.8 JTD and runs well, exept from in 5.th gear, where it cant hold much over 90 kph. or 55 mph on straight road...

I therefore consider a tuningbox to "reclaim" the 5th gear, but before I fit one I would like lo know if the turbo produces the pressure it should.

Does anyone know where I connect the boost gauge? I have been looking in the workshop maual, but there they explain it as a procedure with electronic special tools needed.

I would like to just fit a boost gauge, and keep an eye on it as I do the testdrive.

As I could understand from the workshop manual the maximim pressure should be 1.4 bar.

Hi.
Don’t know if this will help, if you have access to a smart phone you can download a free app called torque, this will measure your boost pressure among many other things and will also read fault codes and reset the engine management light.
The only thing you need to buy is a Bluetooth connector for the diagnostic socket on your vehicle £10:00ish on eBay.

This helps a lot:)

but I cant find a adaptor for diesel engines, just for OBD and OBDII... and I think these are all petrolengines, or am I mistaken now?

Hi. This is the one I bought the top one works well on mine; you need to find out if your vehicle is OBD2 compliant, if you go to the link and scroll down to “vehicle coverage” it explains it.

I cant find any stickers saying my vehicle is OBD2 compliant, but I find this connector next to the in cab fusebox, and as far I can see from pictures online it is an OBD2 connector, guess I'll go for the adaptor just to try.. Is this the same conector you have used Chris1117?

Guess if there was a sticker it have been removed as I suspect the front of the camper has been repaired at some point...
