Technical Mass air flow meter replacement 230l 2.5D 1997

Hi, first time in the forum & looking for some help. I assume this to be correct, so please let me know if I've got this wrong. Sometimes my Hymer loses power(turbo) and I've traced it to what I think is the MAF cast aluminium box with a flap & air flow sensor inside. When I take it out & clean it power returns. My question is, is the an aftermarket replacement part for this box part? I can't seem to find it but there are lots of plastic inline pipe types available. Please can someone advise? Please post some photos of engine with any covers removed and pictures of part you refer to

I think your cross reference part uses more modern hot film technology, rather than the moving vane/flap principle of the original part. I rather doubt it would be compatible.

Only replace with an identical moving flap type air flow meter with exactly the same Bosch part number.
The plastic tube type only pop up as a cross reference on chinese web sites and I am sure they are wrong.
Google the bosch number and some used parts appear available within Europe.

Hi I also have the same engine with the same fault except I can't fix mine for love or money.
I also have a red light on dashboard that appeared when fault started.
If anyone or the original person who posted could get in touch with any clues I'd be very greatly.
