Grande Punto Martin's T-Jet

Introduction

Hey guys, thought i'd finally post a picture of my car.
As the title states it's a 2008 T-jet and i've had it about 5 months now.
Its just hit 40,000 and so will be getting a service at the end of this month, I think it will be a relatively minor service as the ,major one was done at 34,000.
Had the usual issues since owning it:
Glovebox handle - replaced under warranty.
Knocking suspension - drop links replaced under warranty ( didn't fix )
Terribly noisy brakes - EBC pads and discs all round.
Both front seat belt stalks replaced as cover fell off, replaced under warranty.
Boot light not working - new boot catch and sensor replaced under warranty.

Plans:
Already tinted the rear 3 (medium tint)
Fitted Eibach Sportlines (sorted out my knocking noise) that was a bugger for someone like me with no mechanical experience.
Get the wheels aligned at the end of the month once springs settled.
Defo want to get a Forge induction kit - just for the whoosh!
Going to purchase a standard Grande punto black grill for the symmetry (why would they fit 2 different grills?)
May get the front vinyled - not sure?
Would love to get the alloys powder coated Black (cheapest quote over £300 so far)
Sort out the stone chip a go go on my bonnet.

Any way, said my piece I'll upload more pics when I get the chance.
Cheers, Martin.
Only mods i did on the tjet were BMC panel filter, sportline springs and tinted the rear 3.
Got hammered on the insurance for it!
Anyway was really started to get irritated by the sportlines, too bloody bumpy.
The abarth suspension seems much more stable and doesnt roll when cornering. And with the extra bodykit the wheel arch gap does not make the car look like a 4x4!
I was pleased when i got the T-Jet but im ecstatic with the Abarth. :)

I was going to get a BMC panel filter but not too sure what it would do and whether it would really be worth it. Iv'e got a mate with sportlines and theyre definitely more bouncy than standard springs, my ride comfort is already pretty awful due to low profile tyres lol Iv'e read from some people that the power gain from the T-jet to Abarth is un-noticeable and others had said it's a whole different car!

Would be paying over 2k for +35bhp....hmmm, but it's a lot better looking :)

Un-noticeable! They are defo wrong, its still a Grande punto but thats where the similarity ends.

The BMC just gives you a more noticeable turbo sound it may pick up quicker but cant say ive noticed that much difference.

Ive never driven the abarth gp so cant say how it feels to drive, i know the abarth 500 feels like a totally different car to the standard 500.
But visually i have to say i perfer the tjet to the abarth gp, jus personal preferance tho :).

Ah mate im even more gutted now reading your other members thread in the abarth section. You got it from hastings! Exactly where I got my T-jet from, wasn't from the 'garage on the green' by any chance? If so... hahaha

Don't know the garage on the green, was imperial motors. They have listed my old car already and making a nice little profit on it by the looks of it!

Ah fair enough not so bad then haha, you did the sensible thing and went a couple of times, I travelled down then and drove the car back the same day! Longer journey for you aswel, did you motorway it all the way? I went for back routes the whole way, 4 hours back to cambridge, but a fun drive! (y)
