just bought a marea sx 1.6 1999 model are there any known niggly faults with them and are they good to drive.

[Weekend driver]

I have a Weekend (could you guess?) and have found it to be a really good car. Only problem has been a new battery needed, but I think that at 4 1/2 years old and very low mileage with previous owner, so probably a lot of short-trip usage then, that isn't much of a surprise. Watch out for the torque steer if you floor the gas when you're still going round bends - or suddenly lift off...

yeah, just look out for ex company load luggers, make sure everything electric works.
