General Map Sensor

What would happen if you disconnect and block the vacumn feed to the Map Sensor. It's still connected to the ECU but not giving info.
Would it still run?
What difference would it make to how it runs?

The car will still run, no problem. Initial acceleration will be affected, felt as a flat spot.

well,me and rallycinq have both experienced the same issue you are talking about ,today as it happens ,

we have just finished changing the driveshafts,clutch and gearbox on my cinq and I snapped the map sensor ,so david blocked it up and yes it runs like a bag of nails now lol (only had it started for a few mins though so couldnt tell you anything else )
