Make your 1.2 Fast 200Kph (124mph)

I found out why my standard 1.2 was a rocket leaving most standard gt turbos in my town sittin.

I reset my ecu and after leaving it run for 5 min and restarting it, i redlined it in every gear BUT! NEVER LET IT HIT THE LIMITOR. after a 20 min drive to the motorway i opened it up and it left a BMW sittin from the onramp all the way to 110mph and then cruised up to a nice top speed of 124mph (200kph)

Warning petrol tank emptied really fast. 30 mpg out of a 1.2 when taking it easy!

Even the slowest of BMW's would have left you for dead if they had really wanted to. I think you've got a touch of wishful thinking there.

im not too sure about that one mate, ive had plenty of ecu resets while Patch has been of the road on numerous ocasions, and i wouldnt say she is that fast (although top speed is believe able on the speedo as i have seen simialr when it had a bravo box onj it many many moons ago...)

so do i, i was at a meet on sunday, and pretty much every car was a bmw, as much as i love my 1.2 for what it is, theres no chance in hell, even a 1.6 can do enough

Max i had the Brava 80sx at was 115-120mph on the autobahn, no limits. And that was after a hell of a long downhill stretch although i was just crusing not red lining. And am sure the speedo is a bit out at those speeds when reaching the limit of the speedo. And certainly not flying past BMW's etc, unless there asleep at the wheel.

Although you also have to remembr that not everyone is going hell for leather along the rd at all times, i often just cruse along, then some **** in a corsa (cough even punto) comes along and thinks because they've overtaken me they have a faster car. I usually just sit relax and laugh, i'll get them on my way home!

It was me you past in the BMW, i saw you go past at about 45mph, i'd pulled onto the hard shoulder of the slip road to use the phone???

I wasnt moving, thats why you went past..............

On a good day i can get 100mph really with just the slightest of judders out of my 1.2, still gnu get the remap tho i think

you can only get 100 out of it on a good day, Patch can do it any day of the week, and thats with the damn short ratiod punto box on it
