Mr fiat.com sns shop for parts are known about...

Parts exploded views are great but some do not list various nuts and bolts etc...

Punto Evo active 2010 1.2 8valve petrol...

Might someone know the size/thread etc. for the two torqes head bolts that hold the front brake caliper *frame*, the bit attached to the front hub ( with the wheel bearing in it, held to the front suspension strut by 2 larger bolts and nuts ) that the break pads it into and the caliper fits over via two slide pins....

It's the two torqes headed bolts I am after, size, thread pitch and part numbers please.

Also part numbers of the two nuts and bolts that the hub is bolted to the strut with, and the bottom ball joint pinch bolt and nut please.

I can get new pads and discs etc., It's the nuts and bolts I need *in my hand* before even attempting to remove the old bolts etc., Possible disc renewal for not coming up...

Thanks guys, help greatly appreciated....

Hi Ben,

Looked ( researched ) on eper system, just cannot find the two torques head bolts that hold the caliper holder ( that the pads sit in, the caliper fits over via the two slide pins ) casting which sits either side of the disc, which needs to be removed by undoing these two torques head bolts, to replace the disc. These two bolts screw into the hub casting that the wheels bearings fit into......

I now have the part numbers for the bottom ball joint nut and pinch/retaining bolt bolt as well as the two front hub to front strut bolts and nuts, but cannot find the two torques head bolts for the caliper carrier/brake pad holder.....

It looks as if they may be a 10mm diameter bolts, wasted, shanked for location, but what pitch....besides I like to have bolts like these "in my hand" before attempting removal. I may have to use some violence ( heat etc. ) to get the old ones out, meaning new ones to refit.

I have also found the swttch unit for the headlights etc. and done research on its renewal.

Still researching fuse boxes and relays.......

Mot getting closer......

All/any help greatly appreciated.

A look on ebay shows that the caliper holder/pads holder casting along with slide pins and gaiters are available, but still not found the two torques bolts that hold this casting to the hub assembly.

Anyone know for definite the size and pitch of these bolts please, a part number would be absolutely b%**&y fantastic !!

hi Zardo,

The torques head bolts that hold the caliper holder/pads holder casting, that stradles the disc, and, that the pads fit into, and, the caliper slide pins screw into, those two torques head bolts that hold the casting to the hub, are not shown in the exploded view.

The ebay address when opened shows a similar bolt, but need to check if the oe bolt is flanged. I expect the oe bolt to not be threaded all the way up to the head flange, rather being "dowel" like, so a positive locating effect, for the casting.

The cost of the ebay bolt is a pure RIP OFF !!!!!

Thanks for your reply though......

Still hunting those two specific bolts, 4 needed.

A BIG THANK YOU to Grande Punto and everyone else who has helped in my dizzy quest to find a mail order supplier of oe fiat parts, thank you so much.

Grande Punto put me ( and other forum members and readership ) onto FIAT WORSHOP [email protected] which looks a brilliant site, actual pictures of parts of interest with tech detail and live stock levels etc., a brilliant site.

Will be emailing them this afternoon with parts needed list.....
