Petrol tank READ HERE! Fiat issued a recall on the fuel tank on the Cinquecento's, this covered all versions. If fiat have not replaced the tank on the recall, you'll get it replaced free!! You just need to pop down to your fiat garage and ask them to check their computers to see if it's been done already. if it has, bye bye money!
Try to stay clear of ordering it from Fiat Parts cos this will cost the wrong end of £150! a scrappy may be able to help with a fuel tank and it'll be cheap! just make sure you check it for signs of rust or damage before you take it off the donor cinq.
Regarding the fuel tank recalls, does that count on the foreign models aswell? My cinq is completely UK spec, but says it's an import on the log book, from Belgium I think!
Nice...With regards toi the recall, I went to Fiat about mine..it was losing fuel around most corners (2 wheels really didnt help! ) and they told me the recall had closed!! That was two months ago..Methinks try a different dealership..
As for whether the import is covered.. I would reckon so, as the fuel tank is fairly critical to safety... Check with Fiat.
Arse
Feel the magic........the magic is coming...Watch him starve himself to death!!Hehehehe
I can tell you from sources that the recall IS in actual fact closed.
regards
Paul
