I have had a lower strut fitted to my Sei, and am concerned at how low it is (as in how close the gap between it and the road is).
Has anyone else got one fitted? ive been warned not to go over speed bumps (n)

pete fitted one to his cinq i think, but it was too low to the ground so took it off, im trying to find a pic of it, im sure he posted one up somewhere

he be on soon to correct me if im wrong

Bugger! looks like its comeing off, just read an old post bout them and if i go over a speed bump and it catches it will mess up the steering geometry

lower strut anyone?????!!?

keep it on the grale one is the same but as long as you are aware its there and go slow there fine ive never had a problem with mine

I already go mega slow over speed bumps, if i carry on going over them as slow do you think it would be k? Surpose i wont know till i try... im scared!!

Best to avoid it altogether Emm, I've got on and it has remained unfitted just incase I forgot it was fitted or was forced to drive somewhere where the roads weren't great.

I might start up a foster home for lower strut braces!

It's not a good idea, on mine sitting on 13"s with a 55mm drop the front brace was under an inch from the floor. They're a stupid-arsed design, how the hell OMP got it that wrong I don't know. The damn thing doesn't need to drop down anything like that, there's acres of space between it and anything under the car.

Biggest problem, as pointed out by Rallycinq, is that they bolt to the front chassis legs. Bat anything solid with it and you'll bend the car.

I didn't even fit one, just held it in place to see what it looked like then put it back in the bag and flogged it.

wow cant believe how much space there is between it and the car!!
hummm..think i will try and get in touch with OMP and ask why?

ive noticed a difference with my sei having both fitted, but the risk of 'catching' it on something such as a speed bump just aint worth keeping it on for
