Technical Low Battery

Had my first problem with my May 2012 Pop, 8000 miles +. Failed to start battery almost flat. I have to admit, the last few starts have been sluggish, & our journeys have been a couple of miles each way a couple of times a week. Just wanted to check if there was any history to this problem or if it was just my infrequent use that had caused the trouble. After a jump lead start, we did a thirty mile round trip with a 4 hour stop off & the car started OK for the return trip.

If there's a dodgy cell in the battery they tend to discharge themselves faster if left.

Most places like Kwik fit and Halfords can test a battery via a drop test, though they do sell 'em too, so watch the gadget they use to see what it reads!

It's best to replace them with quality items, Bosch etc.
Eurocarparts tend to be cheap, there's usually a sale on, if not there are codes that give discounts at checkout (they'll not work in a sale) and there's usually a branch near to you.
