Technical Looking for ECU Protocol

I'm looking for ANY data about communication protocol for ECU
It's for Punto 1242 16V MK1 (with cable throttle)
ECU details:
IAW 18FD.5Z
it's for interface project (not mine).

the cinquecento and seicento use the 16F, there is a lot of information on that ECU here;

It's not the 18F that's on the Punto, but it'd be fair to assume there are common traits between the two as they're both from the same generation.

I'll read it after job...it's more informatant for me to find something about MPI...as ECUs are quite similar in first Puntos but there is some diferents between SPI and MPI...

np. i'd imagine the main difference is the injector drivers, afaik the 8v and 16v mk1 puntos are basic batch injection as opposed to seq / semi seq - so theres not going to be a lot more going on with them

my car actually runs a megasquirt ECU these days, i took the stock ECU and loom out. I think it's still in the garage, can dig out a picture at some point. am pretty sure it was a 3 pin connector for the communication / diagnostics on it.
