Following from my earlier post this week re: rear brake pads i couldnt get the n/s done as the locking wheel nut was v.tight and resulted in the nut rounding (see pic below)

Been out to this just now to remove the other 3 locking nuts whilst the key is still working, no luck on this one even when forcing it home by hand with someone else attempting to un-do

This nut has a spinning head which i am assuming means i cant use the bash a socket onto the head option, what other options have i got to get this off myself?

yes the bash a socket method can be done..

i have done it on this type of locking bolt,,18mm socket and extension bar a good few belts and its on the just ratchet it off.

I have removed these also. I have a thin cold chisel that cuts through the spinner then a left hand thread socket. The locking nut is no good after that though.
