I locked my keys in my pinto 53 plate is there anyway of getting into the car to release the boot catch

Sorry but it would be pretty irresponsible to tell you how to break into a car that we all already own.

Essentially you're going to have to call the AA or a lock smith

Can't afford the £112

how can you even lock keys inside, only way to do that is lock the car then open trunk with key and throw the key in the trunk and close it[/QUOTE

Kinda what happened I got my bag out nd shut the boot only to realise my keys were in there

why is that? he can get that information with 1 click
****************** and you get million hits

Yes, you can also find info on how to set up drug factories and all sorts of other things, the point is that this forum doesn't want to promote the security weaknesses of the cars that we own. If more sites were like FF and restricted this sort of info, all of our cars would be a lot safer!

Puntos are extremely easy to break in to, no need for bending doors, smashing windows etc, but for all we know, the OP could be a criminal who doesn't own a punto at all.

Milton Keynes is a bit far out for me too unfortunately, otherwise I would unlock it for you if you showed appropriate ID and proof of ownership.

Its a bit like a certain thing that was posted (not on FF) about a year ago on accessing another part of a punto ;) .... since then there has been a spate of ECU thefts in certain areas. Coincidence? maybe.

Its a sad fact of modern life unfortunately!

if you have breakdown cover, they help you out if you are not at home (unless you have home cover)
what if you get it towed a few miles away and then call them :p
edit: the above is probably a stupid idea.

the door wedge worked for me, but as others have said you wont get exact instructions here. When i did it it damaged the car a bit but I was being pretty wreckless as it was to be scrapped soon anyway :(

if car is going to be scraped why didnt you just break all the windows lolo

Hi,

Due to the fact that people keep posting information on how to gain access to a punto, this thread is now locked. If the OP wants more information on how to get into their car (if they havent already) then please feel free to PM me, and provided your willing to prove you own the vehicle, I will talk you through gaining access without the need for bending/ breaking/ smashing or damaging anything.

Thanks
Alan
