Technical Little Red Switch?

Hi as the title says i have a little red switch next to my electric windows that only seems to light up when the lights are on any ideas what it's for?

Cos i don't really wanna take the whole dash apart if i can help it.

It's a P-Reg Sporting if that helps.

I doubt its a standard item - unless its for extra driving lamps on the front or for accessories (interior neon/LED/UV or underlighting) that were removed before you bought it. A mate of mine bought a Jap import Mazda and found something similar which knocks off ALL the rear lights - very popular mod in Japan to make cars hard to find at night. I doubt its for that though....

Press it and see if the wheels fall off.....

tried it on the severn bridge....... Didn't turn into a boat and no NOS :-(

It just leads to a little fused box i'll post a pic up.

Maybe it deactivates the rear brake lights, or something!!! I have known a few cars in the past with that setup....

i have the brake light deactivation button(when i´m driving fast i cover my brake with my left foot and the light would stay on, very annoying)

Exactly, one flick of the switch, and you see the car that is racing you nose-dive as you still accelerate, lol.

Most likely some switch for neons or crappy interior lights which have been taken before the sale.

The easiest way is to trace the wiring

Well the unit in the picture is a fairly standard relay. imho this suggests that it was for driving lights or front fogs that have now been removed. I take it that there are no other wires going fromm the unit
