the money was tainted, his mother refused it, she showed him that no matter what you do with it, it will always be tainted, and seeing as she brought him up pretty much alone, not to be like his dad, he's been pulled back from the dark side

Yeah, but in my view the gangster would have got his tainted money back! winnings in my view woldnt have been tainted but a pleasurable bonus!

I thought the ending was very well done (leaving it free to add another series too it) although a nice romantic ending would have been nice (with sam and annie).
