Tis early this year isn't it. I am giving up giving up stuff forever :D

Yep its gradually got earlier the last couple of years. Didnt it used to be nearer the 20th? I know it was the 13th in 2002.

I know the most pointless things

Im not giving up anything this year, because i know i wont keep to it :)

Yeah, I might follow suit...depending how nice Jamie is if and when he gets back from Aarron's (J33...etc)

You dont have to take part in lent for religious reasons.

you could just cut something out of your diet because you want to.

As soon as you mention religion people run away before they've thought about what it actually involves. Originally lent was all about religion but you could just see it as a mini new years resolution ;)

Sex, it's a long-shot, no change there then
been there, done that. Ever seen the film 40 days and 40 nights.....

I don't do lent for religous reasons. well, I do really. Lent is about growth through self-sacrifice. I enjoy the challenge. Makes me feel like I've earned something for myself and keeps me motivated

Last year, i gave up kebabs. This year I'm trying something much harder

Im not religious and wouldnt take part in lent for religious reasons but for myself.

Sie did u actually manage 40 day/ nights?

what you giving up this year for lent? :)

in 2003 I went 27 days and nights. 2004 I went 28 days and nights. So 31st Jan 2005 is Day one......;)

Im not religious but do lent as a moral practice. Stopped a certain class C illegal substance last year and didn't start again. I might do crisps this year...and maybe speeding...BIG maybe. lol. Cue Paul...
I don't speed excessively anyway.
