General LED by driver's door button

Hi All, you know the LED by the "button" that goes down on the drivers door when it locks...? well mine was flashing when the engine was running the other day at night and was most annoying! does anyone else's do this? today it seems to have stopped!?!?!?

mine did it twice i think, if you open your door to quickly the electrics dont register, and therefore stays on.. if you lock then unlock it should stop.. talking of which, why the hell does it flash when there is no alarm???
