Hiya Folks.
Shortly after purchasing my second 2001 BRavo 1.2sx I realised it had the dreaded leaking sunroof.
So I began to work my way through the common checklist from this and BOO forums.
- Antenna bolt inside of light fitting?.....No!
- Drain in sunroof blocked?....No!
OFF WITH THE CEILING LINING!
- Loose draining pipe?....Possibly as there were droplets of water on the underside of it! So sealed back on and a cable tie for extra measure, back on with the lining and jobs a good en'! Or so I thought...Two days later the same trickle of water on the inside of my windscreen and water collecting between lining and roof!
- The join between roof metal sheeting and interior sheeting? (as seen in this post)https://www.fiatforum.com/bravo-brava/243113-leaking-sunroof-fix.html ...It' got to be, becuase its the only solution left. So off with the lining again, down with the sunroof and out with the caulking gun. 2 hours later and feeling pretty confident! Queue the worst night rains we've had this year and i'm feeling pretty smug the next morning! Wrongly so as my drivers seat is abosultely p*ss wet through! DEVASTATED!
-What now??....Well turns out it was the easist fix of all!! my old man happened to notcie the roof glass was sitting slightly lower on the side it was leaking on, so when yoou sheet water over it it pools and causes spray in the collection tray. Theres two adjustment bolts on the inside of the roof, easily accesible! so two minutes later and a smug old man and bobs your uncle - LEAK FIXED!!!!!!!
Hope this saves some one in the future the many hours I had to go through.
All the best.
