Technical LCD display too dim..

Hi all
Can anyone explain why the LCD display on my Dash would have dimmed.It's ok when viewed from the side.
Is this a likely expensive fix and what would have caused it in the first place..?

the bulb behind it has blow, it happens alot.
you will need too take out the inst cluster too change it tho, its not that hard really.

would it be possable and easy too change the green bulbs to blue ones and if so where can you get them? cheers

since the lcd is naturally a greeny/brown color if you shine a blue light through it i doubt very much that it will look very blue afterwards.
btw the bulbs fitted are regualar clear bulbs, not green ones.

This may saound silly but.......
Have you knocked the dimmer switch located on the bottom right near your key?

Just a thought before you start to dismantle your dash

Its not silly to think that-in fact it sounds just like me!But Its now sorted thanks-was the bulb in the end.
