Styling £2.00..... bargin not so fast.

Bought a bee sting aerial form local market on Sunday £2.00, Bargin eh ………….. not so quick.
Broke poxy alloy insert on original aerial trying to unscrew it, luckily the base is fine but I now have to spend £13.88 on a base from Fiat, to get the insert so I can screw my new aerial on………… Bargin? Bee sting aerial total cost £15.88.
Not quite getting the hang of this bargin thing.

Just thought I would give you a laugh, there must be similar people to me out there.

£13.88 for the base?!!?? Mine was £4.50 when i had to buy the replacement....

Friendly and efficient local dealer, where will they be, I ve got Meredith & Kirkham, the 2 price wonders ya get 1 price on the phone[good 1] and a differant price when you get there [higher strangly enough].
What did you get for £4.50 just the gasket or the whole base, M&K recon it comes in 3 bits Aerial about £5.00 Base £13.88 and Gasket about £5.00, local scrap yards don't seem to have a lot of Fiat's and in the Bravo/a range just about none covers it.
So come on lads give me these cheap prices, kick a man when he's down, I'll just sit in my little Fiat and listern to the hissing radio, yes..................... that is HISSING.

I Tried............... but once I get it flat enough to fit into the CD slot, it wont play????
So New base is on, and I can now get Terry Wogun on Rad 2 in the morning :yuck:
Oh Well, all's well in the land of song again.

I got my Stilo's beesting for £1.84 on ebay, looks the part and radio sound quality isn't so bad.
