£100 for a hairdryer!

I always thought that if I was having trouble selling an item on Ebay (I never have but thought of this as a theory) that I would ask a few friends to bid on it so it made the item look popular thus maybe getting genuine interested buyers to bid so looking at this I'd say it could be the case.

in theory this item would work, i've been thinking about it in theory with a computer cooling fan, slapped inbetween throttle body and filter, it would in theory act as like it says a supercharger, but i dont think the fan could spin fast enough to get any advantage, not sure about hairdryer or whatever though :p

plus i guess its for the filter too so its just covering the costs really plus a big wad extra :p

Alex, you need quite a volume of air at a decent pressure to make a difference, that's why turbochargers and superchargers are used as they are actually up to the job. This thing ain't gonna work.

Better off with an induction kit and a cold air feed.

Yeah Pete's right, both turbo's and S-chargers offer forced induction where forced means pretty strong so I doubt some kind of setup would produce any gains.

When this came up before, I went through a few basic pieces of physics (once told the theory works) and I believe we found (after considering all factors that can be cosidered) it was only a 2BHP increase...I can't find the thread though.
