Kwick-fit are a joke Ordered 2 tires for my punto last week got a price i was happy with after playing them off against another firm across the road who was £5 cheaper per tire (and KFit have a sign up about matching any quote)
Went in to order them rather than do it over the phone i'd rather do it all face to face
He then came out with words along the lines of "we will only agree to a price match if you have written proof" so told him to tear up my details he'd just taken as i couldn't be arrised to walk back across the road to get it in writing to come back and he got the "i might as well get it done across the road...." (not that i'd never go near that franchise they are worse than Kfit from what ive seen) and turned to walk out followed by the usual just a minute i'll have a word with the manager
Manager came through and agreed the price on the spot anyhow got the usual they will be in Wednesday (ordered bank holiday Friday) so left happy at that only to get a phone call on the Tuesday saying that Birdgestone arn't making them anymore they are out of Production... So they got told to forget it
phoned another tire firm (which quoted me £62 each the same day i rung kwickfit) and this time i was Quoted £50 each by North Eastern Tires (£8 cheaper than kwickfit) anyhow they got the work and was told they would be in by friday got a phone call Wednesday saying they are in and come in when you want
Couldn't fault their service at all
So if anyone in E-Yorks wants Tires try Northeastern Tires i can recommend them
