General knocking noise

Jack up the engine at gearbox end and look at the mount rubber where it meets the metal. Repeat at cam belt end.

I have a mk2 mate and mines was doing the same, i took it too a garage and all they said was the exaust was rattling off the axel and that this is a well known problem with punto's so maybe check that out mate

right been under the car today the exhaust is not hitting the body but do u guys recon the gearbox mount it gone?

My punto has quite a loud rattle when going over bumps, or going slow in first and reverse when the car judders. Took it to many garage they couldn't find anything, so finally took it to fiat and they just said its normal and that most punto's do it, said its simply the exhaust rattling.

This week it has had a really bad loud knocking/banging noise and a grinding noise too, and the heavier the load of the car the worse it was. It got really loud turning right, and stopped completely turning left. When i took it to get fixed that said it sounded like either the drive shaft or wheel bearings had gone. But turns out it was just the hand break cable had come loose!

mines more of a bang when i floor it and its load u can fill it in the passangers floor
