General knocking/ clicking noise

yesterday was my first time driving the car since last thursday. i went a few metres down the road to turn as i turned the car right i could hear this noise when turning right.

today i had the car in the garage to get the tracking done and i asked them look for the nise was coming from as i thought i was a cv joint. picked up the today and they think its is somthing in the coloum as its electric, but its not thing to worry about.

any ideas what it could be

Ya, your description does point to it being the CV joint. You can wait a while to see if it gets worse. Provided it is the CV joint you won't do any damage, or put yourself in and real danger.

Take the car to an empty car park and drive in tight circles in each direction with the window open.

If it clicks in time with the speed, it is the CV joint.

If not you'll need to keep an ear open for where the source is.

In theory, the electric column is neither here or there.
