Technical Key fob replacement

I am clueless with cars! Hopefully someone will make sense of this!

I recently bought a fiat punto 2005 (1.2 petrol, 8v)

The car had one key, the fob for which was 'worse for wear', and has now broken.

I have bought a couple of replacement fobs off ebay for a couple of quid, but the end of my key blade which goes into the fob is different on my key than the fobs that have been sent out. does anyone know of anywhere that sells the plastic part of the key fob? as my blade and the electrics inside are working in terms that they allow the engine to start when placed next to the barrel.

On another point, do all punto 2005's have central locking? as mine didnt work when I bought it and i'm thinking that maybe it doesn't have central locking!

AFAIK all Mk2 Mk/2B Punts have central locking as Standard. Even the most basic Mk2 i had 1st had central locking

Cheers, perhaps it will work if I can get my hands on a key fob that my key fits!!

I got mine of eBay for a couple of quid and just switched the electrics over and had the actual key recut and also placed in the fob. ;-)
