Recently the range of my remote central locking key fob has been getting pretty poor, meaning that the central locking only works if I press the remote button while stood right next to the drivers door.
Obviously, I assumed that the battery had gone in the key fob so I replaced it with another new one (CR2032 lithium cell if anyone is interested!). This made no difference to the range however, which is still really poor. Anyone have any ideas? Can you buy replacement remote key fobs and what sort of cost are we looking at? The car is a 54-plate Punto Sporting BTW.
