Hi all.
I broke down yesterday - In a car wash (Had to be pushed out of car wash ) Car wouldn't start and key code light came on.
2006 Fiat Grande Punto.
I called RAC and they tested and got no response from ECU. They couldn't get car started and towed me home.
Today I used Bing on Skype (Microsoft's new AI chatbot within Skype.) and amazingly the second suggestion (see screen shot) worked and the AI provided a link to this forum. (the blue squares on the Skype message are links to webpages.)
[Putting a jump lead from battery ground to body of ECU removed warning light and car started.]
Amazing.
Questions - 1) Anyone know how the ECU is connected to Ground or any advice on how to fix this?
(If I remove jump lead then the car won't start and key code light comes on again)
I suspect problem is linked to under bonnet fuse box as very wet from water.
2) Does anyone know a good Fiat auto electrician in Maidenhead / Slough area?
Thanks for reading!
