K&Ns, for the Panda, any good?

K&N do a 57i kit for the Panda now, never used them before. Are they really any good, is it worth getting one? Also on the site it mentions failiures of mass airflow sensors due to contamination from oil, and it not being their fault, which I find odd! Why would they mention that if it wasnt a problem? Cheers for any help.

Peeps over oiling the filters on refitting after filter cleaning.

I read this and think why? Not any great performance gain to be had so only can be seen as a noise making device for which an exhaust would doo that much better but then why would you want to interrupt the serene driving experience?
