Would an induction kit change much on my mk2? I know speed wont change much but will really change, will it sound a lot different etc?

Is it worth spending £100 considering insurance will go up too?

Your thoughts and debates please

p.s wheels put on 2moro..:D:D:D[8D]:D:D:D

Did you have the fish? No...I ate it.

i do not know if it will increase you power alot as i am no expert, but it makes the car have a nice induction noise instead of putting on a huge exhaust as they look and sound terrible (my opinion).
i have a K&N Filtercharger induction kit on my punto sporting and i feel it pulls better and sounds nice.
cheapest price i got was from 'motorspeed.com'

What do you all think about big exhausts?

i got one on my sporting to sounds sweet on every punto iv had!
o and big exhausts are ok but got to have a nice tone not just be loud !

A girl phoned me the other day and said, 'come on over; nobody's home." I went over. Nobody was home.

IMHO they have started to look silly - too big and somehow they always look like there about to fall off. Or maybe I'm just getting old?

What would be really nice would be a sports system which was virtually identical to original but finished in, say black crackle, with a tailpipe in the same concealed, downturned way as the std item. Bassier noise, without anyone thinking 'to$$er'...?

Here come da judge...

ye got a stainless janspeed sounds sweet ant not overly big ! would not go 4 some o the huge power flow ones look daft and sound loud not sporty

I put a K&N on my 55SX and it's great - slight increase in outright grunt, much more low-down torque and it responds much better. Sounds nice too - Mr Insurance Man hasn't been informed tho :D

I've heard K&N units are good for about 5-7 bhp more out of a 55. Personally, I don't think I can be bothered. The idea of more low-range torque is appealing though, especially because I always feel you have to be in 4th round town in my 55SX and sometimes teh traffic slows a bit and it's a bit sluggish getting off again from 1500-2000 rpm or so.

But I'm just gonna save up and bide my time for a Mk2 Sporting though I think, then see if I can get a three-figure bhp out of that :D

Oh yeah, big exhausts, on a Punto? Not convinced. Not really the right sort of car for a massive one IMO.
