Hi Guys

I am wondering where I can find a K&N or similar panel filter for my 1.9 Mjet Sport and if there are any guides for install on the diesels as I can only find info for the Petrols...

I know that mods like this are much point for diesels but I would prefer the improved airflow over the hideous paper things and I can remove it to clean it when needed.

Also what is that awful noise coming from behind my dash/speedo area that sounds like a cage of poorly treated canaries chirping whenever I go over potholes or bumps?????

I kinda feel a little stupid now:bang:, but I had previously Googled it believe it or not... I guess I must have not been paying much attention. Apologies :(

Anyway part 1 answered... Any ideas where I can find a guide for a diesel?? And how about that ridiculous noise? lol

Oil from the K&N airfilters can sometimes affect air sensors in the intake on certain engines.....be aware...!!

That's not a problem on the multijet, there's a small container for evacuated oil.

The Coton filters are better simply because instead of buying a new one at every service all you do is clean it up. also up to 5 bhp increase.

5 hp is hardly noticeable.
You just can't beat a clean paper filter on airflow, unless you are driving into a dessert with a V-8 and carburetor equipped car.
That's what K&N is designed for, definitely NOT for small European cars, just a waste of money imo.

Ooops I think i may have started an arguement... :D

Lets ignore the air filter as I may be too lazy to install it anyway

Does anyone have/had my dreaded dashboard chirp before as its driving me insane???Ahhhh Everytime i hit a drain/pothole other imperfection on our roads that we pay stacks of money every year for (for no reason) I get a chirpy/squeak from behind my dash. I cannot explain the noise better than that, it doesn't sound mechanical and it doesn't sound like any moving parts fouling themselves on each other, it does only sound like a canary thats voice is breaking...
:yeahthat:

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)
