K&N Filter grande Punto Sporting 1.4 t-Jet

I was in the same position as you really I already had a BMC panel filter on my punto abarth but wanted to see what was better so i bought a twin cone filter and I have to admit it felt slower especially in the lower rev range. I'm currently working on making a GSR copy, as this has proven gains. So like peter said stick a panel filter in there or buy the forge/tmc or a GSR

Alright guys this might sound stupid but could anybody possibly tell me what the pros and cons are of putting A K&N filter on my Grande Punto 1.4 T-Jet?

Many thanks :)

I put a K&N in a MiTo 155TB - essentially the same car - and I was quite pleased with it.
Below is a picture (excuse the poor quality pic) of the differences in the filters with the K&N much thinner than the Paper one.
Paper will filter better than the Cotton gauze but the K&N is more free-flow. It wouldn't give you better consumption but it will make a little difference on preceived bhp.
You will have to buy the cleaning kit - around £15 and the K&N with P&P can be got for around £40 so there's no pay back compared with the Paper.
At least with cotton gauze compared with tri-foam it will dry in about 30 minutes as opposed to overnight before it's re-oiled.
If you can get the BMC for around the same money as the K&N it would be a better bet since that's the one used in the esseesse models.
