it was easily changed by the DVLA

Are you expecting to break down?
If not kick the breakdown cover into touch.

I have owned the biggest range of wrecks you can imagine but have never broken down on the roadside yet. (Well I had to be rescued by a fellow biker once when my spark plug died and I needed a spare, And then there was that time when the spring went in my dizzy cap, oh and I ran out of petrol once), but apart from that....;)

i know but my parents wont let me drive without cover!
its cos i had a old car and got stuck at 2am on m1 scared me senseless,
id rather miss out oh clubbing a month to get cover!
but cant even do that

Don't blame you on the aa cover, it's happened to me too and is a godsend when you're cold and dark and have no idea what's wrong :). Are there any direct debits you can knock off for a month or so? I usually knock the council tax off which saves £100 a month and they don't mind, I just end up paying a bit more spread across the year.

On this note, I've got 4 tyres and service due next month so I'm broke too :(.

Bloody tax, mine's due at the end of this month, thats 60 beans that I could put to far better use than donating it to the "build more b***ard speed cameras fund". :bang:

What's the point of road tax anyway? £120ish a year is sod-all compared to the amount they get from me in fuel duty...
Luckily MoT's not due till April (I think) so I've got time to weld up that dodgy hole in the floor where I put the trolley-jack through it
