Technical just side lighs

hi peeps, got a 1.6 16v r reg bravo only the side lights work. But no main lights or deep beem even no flash beem.I have rear lights ! any one come across this problem before ? many thxs mark...

check all fuses and bulbs first. if it all seems ok then the fault is usually a short circuit in the stalk mechanism, a scrapyard stalk assembly is only £10 and easy to fit.
