Why are these so cheap compared to fluffy?

Fluffy sells them at ~£15 each yes? Somehow this guy can afford to sell a full set of 8 for less than the price of 2 from fluffy. Now don't get me wrong - this is not a thread for the "auction watch" section - i'm just after advice.

Since i've just splashed some of my hard earned cash on a set of these cheap tappets, and begun to worry about it, could someone advise me of the following:

1/ Is there more than one kind of tappet for the 899 cinq?

2/ what is the benefit (if any) of fitting comparatively expensive fiat tappets from fluffy, as opposed to these cheap(er) ones? Presumably they are not a "genuine fiat" part, judging by price, but is this likely to make a noticable difference?

Who knows? Could be a bulk buy, someone's end of stock/bankrupcy item. At that price I doubt it would be worth anyone's while setting up production.

There are, IIRC, two kinds of hydraulic tappets on the 899, one is adjustable for preload, one isn't.

hmm isn't the 3 types of tappets is:

1 u need set the gap (found in uno 903) and 1 u need to set the preload and you can't set anything.

Mate that is a bargain!!!!!!! Did u get some new lock rings as well which locks the tappet in place????? (if u need some, pm me) i'll got them but no use to me now.

Yep, but the non hydraulic ones have been retro fitted!
