car needs slamming to pass off pram wheels. no offense to anyone, but the above car looks silly. slam it and u could get away with it.... just. imo 16 is as big as a punto should have. thats just mine (and many other people on here) opinion. i dont intend to flame, there are features on my car that isnt to everyones taste, but hey, its ur cars, ur choice.

It's like food. I'm certainly not going to slag off any styling additive, but that car doesn't look right to me. Looks like it's perched there.

Just remember before some "yoof" gets all offended. When you post on here you may not like some of the comments. Just for the record I've never posted any pics of any of my vehicles;)

lol well nothing to worry as every one got their own taste to be honest apart from this forum and some of u guys.... every one on the road said that car look nice so no offense to anybody if u dont like it... but certainly i got realli gud response i like it the way it is drive smooth enough and nice on motorway been doin 100mph without any problem ,its just to make this guy feel happy dat come on this guy bought these wheels let him enjoy them in his car theres always going to be issue when u use stuff apart from factory fitted, end of the way its ur own satisfaction i will certainly will cheer people for their own taste instead of sayin dat its not right for them if its right then i dont think so it does mak any difference end of the day its ur own baby.....

so guys... its gud to give ur opinions but i will certainly say theres no harm in encouraging people as well .... come on guys u cant make evry thing rite or mak every body happy....

100 with big wheels might be 110 real mph (oops sorry ossifer), though most 1200s probably wont even top out in 5th on big wheels.
lol not on public road m not tht stupid obv it was on motorway didnt realise 100 on big wheels means 110..... no wonder i was flying lol but yes it looks nice... corky i knew it gonna look nice tell me if any body said bad about wheels on ur car... apart from this forum ....ur friends or people around ur area... m sure they will say nice.............. hats off ....:worship:

With the Bigger rims - you need more skinny tyres to accomdate the Larger wheels

Failing that you have to have the speedo recalibrated - but never heard of it done tho

Ziggy
thx for tht well on the safe side when i got speed cameras near by i keep it under the speed limit incase.... never had issues even tho i ws exactly on the speed limit near speed cameras never had any tickets on my car been all around to london and scotland on these wheels lol so pretty much happy with my car so far...:slayer:

Its easy to check.
  1. Put a vertical chalk mark on tyre side-wall down onto the ground surface
  2. Push car forwards one full turn of the wheel and mark the ground where the tyre mark is back at the bottom.
  3. Measure the distance between the marks.
Repeat with standard (correct) size tyres and work out the %age difference.

Failing that use sat nav. (the annoying device all too many folks need to find their local Tescos).

erm.... a motorway is a public road.... and it still has a speed limit of 70mph in uk.

I dont drive like an idiot and stick to the limits :) and everyone likes the alloys im very happy with them, just decided to stick a new tyre on one of the alloys just need go pick it up and stick it on (y) then get my black bumpers!!

Im not going to say the usual stuff about the Gearing, the Diff, the Speedo and the Rolling Radius.

but i am going to mention suiting the car or not.

HUGE alloys on a small car dont work well, they look out of proportion to the rest of the vehicle.

Heres my example, These 2 pictures show the 17's on the Punto shown earlier on in this thread, they look out of proportion to the vehicle. Wheras the 17's on my Astra Match the size of the car, the bigger the car the bigger alloys you can get away with.

17's on Mk2 Punto (used earlier in this thread)

17's on a Astra.

But on another note;

Hope that you enjoy the alloys and have trouble free motoring with them (y)
