So i just bought myself a Fiat Stilo 1.4 16V Blue. I must admit its a looovveellyy car and i'm looking forward to driving it very much, BUT, i think it needs a little tweaking ;) Here's a little list of things that i think i might need help with from you guys, the rest i can do on my own. All your comments and help are massively appreciated, thanks in advance!

  • Lowering the car (30mm - 40mm?, Eibach Springs?)
  • Changing the factory stereo to a 7 inch flip up monitor, (id need a new head unit yeh?)
  • Changing the front and rear lights possibly?
  • Changing the exaughst
  • Changing the front grill to a plain mesh? (is this more complicated than i think?)
  • Maybe take the fiat, stilo and 6speed badges off the back? If that's possible?

It's a long list i know but this will all be done over the next few months and in my opinion make the car look soooo much better! After all, i am keeping this car for atleast the next 2 years+.

Cheers Guys

It's on a 56 plate. And it's a 3 door! It's done 44k miles. I thought you could change the lights? Ive found many stilo rear lights and so on, or would they not fit due to being for different models?

What do you mean by stereo is the HU? (Sorry if it's something obvious?)

Yeh the stereo is poor so im looking for a nice flip up monitor for around £200 or so. But id need a new head unit yeh?

What's the whole process with lowering the car then? Could someone take me through it if theyve got a spare 5 mins? Would be MASSIVELY appreciated!

Cheers guys!

Stereo is the Head Unit. Head Unit is often in refrence to Stereo if that makes sence (or so I've been led to believe) :p

Sounds like a cool car(y)

What light have you found? Links? As I've never managed to find any :(

Jon.

LOL, stereo, yeah, showing my age. Head unit. One bit of advice when choosing a head unit is to find one with amber display or at least on that allows you to choose the colour of the graphics as trust me blue graphics with an amber background is gross.

Here are some lights, or are they no good?

Im sorry guys i think youve got the wrong end of the stick?

Ive found a flip up monitor i want, BUT the plastic covering the audio controls wouldnt allow me to fit it? Would it?

Like, there's nowhere to put it in? So i take it i'd need to remove the cover and buy a new one that would allow me to fit the monitor?

Yeah you will need a new fascia plate so you can fit an aftermarket unit. I have 2 of these unused if you need one lemme know.

Id be very interested yes mate. Let me decided exactly what monitor i want and get back to you on that one. How much are you asking? Thanks by the way!

Morty did an easy to follow guide on fitting the Eibach Pro-kit, have a squint at it. The general principal and process will be the same for pretty much any kit you care to fit:

Most of the stuff you wnat answers to has probably been asked/answered before, so make use of the forum search facility (y)
