General just bought a 96 B... need a few bits

First of all... Hi all, new in. Browsed the forum many times before, hope to make everyones acquaintance eventually.

Sold my beloved 98 B 18 months ago and have just acquired another. Low mileage 96... tiny bit tatty and no red key but it was cheap. hey ho... i know the story... booked in for a cambelt in a few days and i'm looking for a few bits.

where would i find a second hand stainless exhaust? best place to look?

also... had the passenger door apart the other day as the electric window is bust... the forward cable has snapped. Looks like a fiddly job... anyone taken this on in the past? I just ordered a manual on cd but suspect that even when i manage to extract all the mechanism gubbins from the door i may need to replace it all rather than fix it.

<shuffles feet and looks at the floor>.... feel free to take the mickey.

apart from that I just have to do the rear bushes and fix a little rust patch on the passengers door and vroom vroom, grin grin... the rest of it all checks out.

help/advice greatly appreciated.
