Technical Juddering when cold

Hi all, the drive on my 60s has been very sluggish it judders and kangaroos when I put my foot down in 2nd and 3rd for a little bit then sorts itself.
Then later when the cars been going for 10 mins its fine.

Wondering if its related to a high pitched noise which rises with the revs then stops at some point (no rev counter!) and this also stops when warmed up.
From a previous thread Im under the impression this could be a timing belt issue?

Any suggestions/ideas appreciated.

the noise is probably cam belt tensioner bearing, but i dont see that being related to the other problem.
has car been services when it should have been?
