Hi, My Bravo 1.9 JTD seems to have lost some power, especailly at higher speeds. I recently had 72,000 mile service (inc Cam belt)done but just recently i have noticed that it simply hasn't got the same torque as usual! It won't now go over 90 mph (on private roads of course) and when going up hill on the motorway it slows down where it used to just keep on pulling. Could this be a turbo issue or something simpler like fuel pump/filter? Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Change your Mass Airflow Sensor, try www.shop4parts.co.uk for it as its the cheapest place.

But before you do does the car feel sluggish? Do you get a drop in acceleration around 3000rpm's if so its the MAF sensor.

Yes it does feel sluggish and 3000 RPM's is just about where the problem hurts on the motorway. I'll give the MAF sensor a go.

Cheers.

what is the MAF sensor and where is it that could be a problem that my car has
thanks rick

Send us an email at [email protected] with your chassis number as we have been doing a great deal on MAF's as we are buying them in bulk at the moment.

We have been about £13 cheaper than shop4parts on the alfa ones :)
