Did I? Oh, yes. Very little though, I had forgotten about that. It's not noticable now.

No, just quoting the manufacturers figures. I have no reason to disbelieve them.

I'm happy with the improvement so why waste money on a test?
Rolling roads are a bit scarce round here anyway.
BTW I read lots of user reports on the site I got the box from and was impressed. That was before their database went down.

The problem with rolling roads is that they are not calibrated. The only way you get anything sensible out of a rolling road is to do before and after tuning testing on the same day on the same rolling road. The inacuracy of RR can be as much as 15% making any figures from them an absolute farce.
We use a Chassis Dynonameter, which although being a lot more accurate than an RR, still needs to be used as before during and after on the same one to give an exact result.

As for manufacturers giving false figures, thats a bit whimsycal. The figures stated for something like this are averages based on a number of trials with different cars. You have to consider that some cars will simply be better than others for no exact reason other than tolerances. We get that with the exact same map on different cars ourselves, some even drive completely differently - I know as my Alfa JTD is the slowest Alfa JTD with a 195bhp map and we have no idea why as we have replaced and checked everything!

Could you remap my 1.2 to 100bhp please! [8D] And loose no drivability. I enjoy humbling 1.6 Escorts but i'd really like to wipe to floor with them good and proper! [8D]

And seeing as i'm from Scotland it needs to be cheap as chips, and thats Iceland chips at that! :p

does any one know of any one/where that will remap my pleasantly quick 1.6 would like it to kick out a little more than the 103bhp that is standard. oh and my mate has a 1.3 accent that has 112bhp and it is not pleasing at all...

LAT read this forum and you will find out that twincamms wants to tune up his 1.6 and he said that the remapping will give extra 12hp.
