This only happens sometimes

but when i take my foot of the accelartor at slow speeds it sorta jerks a bit.. or shudders whatever you wanna call it?

is there a loss of power or just the car jerks, as if your in the wrong gear or not got yer clutch down?

Might just be like mine, dunno why my mk1 does it, but it jerks a little at low revs until i change down a gear or press down the clutch.

Ditto, you just need to drop it down a gear

Have your timing checked, I had the same problem when you take your foot off the accelerator it just chugs and chugs. My timing was out by 4 teeth mechanic said it could have f**ked my engine. It was really frustrating especially with people in the car, ran like a dream afterwards tho!
