General I've just had a idea :P lol

Would i be able to but a Fiat Uno Turbo then replace the engine with a 1.1 injection or a 999cc fire engine ???

that way i'll get a nicer looking car with all the skirts / seats / and digital dashboard pherhaps but i won't have to pay the high insurance prices.

is this possible and if it is possible will it be hard or easy to do ? cause one of my uncles owns a proper garage place so maybe i could pay him to do it ?

This is a bad idea. Uno Turbos have a bit of a cult following and ripping out the 1.4 and replacing it with a 1.0 would be a ridiculous waste.

Take your time, start with a 1.0 build up a no-claims bonus and upgrade it in a couple of years. We've all had to do it.

Ah guess ur right i spose i'll proabably nick some bits from scrapped turbos though like the seats and maybe didgi dash board and side skirts i have seen a nice Uno for sale fo £200 more details are in my other post but the problem is well i could buy the car but i can't afford the insurance at the moment maybe the tax but the insurance is what is stopping me from getting the car which is a bugger because i wanted to get the car then buy bits now and again to fit them then when i past my test early next year i can drive it all modded lol

If you have somewhere to put it off the road then why not buy it and make a start on it. Then when you pass your test you can worry about the insurance and you'll have a shiny Uno ready to go.

Hmm well the thing is i don't have a drive way or a garage i live in a cul-de-sac (deadend) lol would i be able to park it somewhere or because it is still technically on the road would i need insurance for that. ? the only other option it there is a bit of grass which sometimes my dad drives uponto and leaves his car there if i done that then it would'nt actually be on the road
